FOUNDATION ENGINEERING
Working in tandem with our design team, NSCC's operations provide complete solutions for foundation engineering works in the commercial, residential, marine and industrial civil engineering sectors.
NSCC Land based foundation engineering techniques incorporate:
Piles are rigid structural elements installed in the top soil and/or the underlying rock layers that act to transfer the loads from an overlying structure such a building, a bridge or any other type of construction load. The installation method can be either through a drilling process or by means of a percussive hammer system depending on the type of load and/or soil conditions.
Earth retaining structures are structural elements that hold the sides of excavations and form the walls of underground water tight structures such as car parks or basements of buildings. Earth retaining structures can be anyone of the following systems, depending on the depth of retained excavation and prevalent soil and water conditions.
